Aww....It's back to school so soon! I don't feel like I had a break, though I did sleep quite abit the past few days; so much that I could not wake up this morning, and I had to take a cab to sch. (Ouch!...I hate to spend money on cabs...and yet I have done so a few times this semester) Of course, I don't feel like I had done much work too, not even a single tutorial done, except studying for the test today, but let's not even mention it. Haha.
Oh yeah, went to Meijing's bday celebration at the chalet. It was a bbq, and a mini gathering, not anything crowded in that sense. SClub7 almost turned up in full force, only Jingyu could not make it. Sigh. Anyway, it was quite fun, and the place brought back some fond memories of our chalet during the holidays of 2001. Played mahjong early in the morning, and Pepsi Cola 123 (Yes, that's the foot-stepping game) in the baby pool etc. So funny. I doubt we'll ever have anything close to that again. Anyway, look at Qiulin's blog for photos! I don't even have the first photo...hmph! One more thing I must mention, we did no bbq-ing throughout the party. All the food was by courtesy of some of Meijing's frens. Thank You Gers! (though they would never know) It's the thought that counts.
People say "The grass is greener on the other side". But I disagree cos evidence says otherwise. The grass over here in my area is greener than those that has turned brown in Tampines and Pasir Ris. The weather is so HOT and humid, simply can't get past a day without complaining about that~!! When is this weather going to go away?! Or is March going to be HOTTER? That's supposed to be the beginning of the Dry Monsoon period or sth is it? Pity all the the grass and trees, and plants.
Yet, I had to go over to "that barren side" of Singapore twice in the week. First was the bbq of cos, second time was to Dear's house. I just had to have the fan blowing at me, while I had my notes sprawled all over his bed. How hardworking, yeah? He's slacking at his study desk in the living room. See the difference? Haha. Well well...
It's Saturday so I shall SLACK. Sunday too, since it's always my rest-and-recuperate day. Hope I can get past this weekend with minimal difficulty though, considering the amount of work and revision waiting for me. Good Luck to everyone having tests~!! Study time.....

It's break time so soon! I don't recall having lessons for half a semester already, I only recall trying to get by my tutorials each week. Haha. The break time is supposed to be crucial in helping me prepare for my tests after the break, and catching up with modules that I had chosen to leave hanging in the air. I will try hard to do so, but I'm not pinning high hopes, looking at the way I had just spent Sunday- and basically I did nothing. We'll see at the end of the week. Well well...
I shall have a timetable anyway. It makes me feel better. So first thing I shall do tomorrow is to tidy up all the notes first, plus print all the solutions to my tutorials for reference. It shall be revision for one module each day, hopefully. That should be enough, or rather the most that I can do. Slacker.
The later part of Saturday was quite well spent anyway. Dear and I went out for post v-day celebrations (supposedly), but it's really just dinner and a movie. Haha. We ate baked rice in Swensen's then watched Constantine. The movie was nice, and worth watching. Got some stuff involving religion, the devils, Satan and depiction of Hell as a burning inferno. I wonder if Christians would watch the movie, and whether the story is factually right in that sense?..hmmm...By the way, Keanu Reeves is so cool and suave in the show! Better than Matrix...Haha.
I must say the weather is weird these weeks. Imagine having bushfires in Singapore, I had never ever thought of that! Dear had a first hand account, cos he saw the bushfire in Tampines, the one that was reported in the newspapers on Sunday. What a sight! Well, I try to stay indoors whenever I can, so that I can escape the HOT weather, temperatures usually around 33 or 34°C. Drink more water everyone...
Drink even more water if you're attending birthday parties and bbq. Meijing's having one on Tuesday, so that should be quite fun at the chalet. There should be quite a crowd too (but I don't like crowds?)

Chocolates, roses, good dinner...I had none of those. Haha. I spent a long V-day in school, and after that I had to go for tuition. Came home feeling really tired and uncomfortable. The only consolation: I got a ang pao from the tuition ger's mum. It really made me feel a little happier like that. Actually Dear got me a present too, kind of unexpected. I'm the one who has not gotten him anything, cos I can't find what to buy for him..
Haha. And actually I have nothing much to write. Just want the date to appear in my blog.

Happy Chinese New Year!! The year of the Rooster has just started, what does the year mean to you? I don't really know, but this is what I am in general (supposedly)
THE RAT (A Positive Animal)
Rat year people are charming and reserved. They work hard, tend towards stinginess, and set rigid standards of behaviour for themselves and their loved ones. Rats born in the night are adventurous and quicker thinking than those born during daylight hours. Night rats are also crafty & busy. Rat people can be gossipy, great nags and petty. They are inquisitive by nature, resourceful, and good at spotting the main chance. They are careful with money and with investments. They check out people and projects more thoroughly than most others because of an inborn ability to sense danger. As such, they can tend to be negative. Rat fathers, have great sentimental attachments to their parents and children. Rat mothers are natural homemakers & supportive wives.
WOOD RATS: (1864, 1924 and 1984) are progressive and very amiable people. Very farsighted and has ability to compromise. Passionately needs security and hard work is motivated by this need.
Well, it has not been the most exciting new year. Just visited the usual places, and we stayed there for shorter periods of time. I saw some of my uncles and aunties, on my maternal side, whom I usually only meet during chinese new year. As usual, they like to say the same things, like "You've grown taller" though the truth is I haven't grown taller since I was in Sec 1. Yes, my growth has stopped since then. The other question is "Where are you studying now?" Of course I replied whatever I am doing, and it all calls for the same response which is "Orh..." Haha. Nothing too much to say about Statistics yeah. It's a pretty boring subject, and yet I am studying that. Contradicting.
Still got one more place to go on Sunday, supposed to watch Lion Dance. We all used to look forward to it as kids, but after so many years, the excitement has died down. I even think that I have seen some of the pple in the troupe grow old. Haha cos it's always the same troupe that Uncle Tan employs. More ang baos to collect at least.
I realised that ang baos are just a way of redistributing wealth- from the parents to the children. Whatever the parents give out to other kids, the children get it back. In that sense, it's an indirect way of giving the kids pocket money, or money to be put into the bank and earn some little interest. Moral of the story: have more children. So that they can 'earn' back more money. That goes with government efforts to raise the birth rate anyway. Lousy joke. Haha. Otherwise, just engage in some gambling. Small stakes only of cos. Laws of probability comes in when it comes to winning....
Holidays were over pretty soon. Back to school next week, and have a whole lot of work waiting for me. Tutorials, and more importantly to be done over this weekend: lab report!...Do as much as I can before I say "Good night!"...........

Sobz...went shopping in Bugis on Friday, but didn't manage to buy anything, or even find anything that I like for that matter. I went 'brisk' shopping to find clothes that I thought I might want to buy, but IT'S GONE!!! I saw it two weeks ago, one week ago, then today, it's GONE!!! Why does it always happen to me? Really regretted not buying it when I saw it the very first time. SIGH. Started walking around so late, then the shops were closing soon. I didn't even get to go into the shop to see another piece that I like. ARGH. What a disappointing day!

Oops! Why do I feel like it's the end of the week again, when it's only Thursday. I do have quite a long day tomorrow; first it is a 4-hour laboratory session in which I'm going to do alot of titration plus a 2-hour lecture on Java Programming. Perhaps it's jus because I've finished the tutorials for the week. That's always a relief for me! BUT I've 3 stats tutorial on Monday!!! Which means I have to spend my entire Sunday on it.
I haven't done my new year shopping yet. I don't have new clothes to wear for the festival. I must go shop soon. At least, I've cut my hair already, went out on my free day yesterday to cut it. Still looks the same actually, haha, just that I 'feel' that it looks neater and better. What else to look forward to in this week? Erm...gonna have steamboat gathering with some of the girls (or ladies for those who had turned 21) on Saturday evening. That's gonna be HOT, in every sense, particularly the place itself. Haha. Got to arrange with Dear another time to meet him instead.
To everyone who doesn't know, there's a free preview of SCV channel 56 (du hui tai) on TV, so go tune your TV sets. The preview is only till 20 Feb, according to my brother's fren, so don't miss out. Can catch some nice movies sometimes, if you're lucky.
Talking about TV programmes, I'm just such a TV addict, and couch potato. Haha. I've some programmes that I want to watch almost everyday. Monday: Desperate Housewives, and a Korean show called "Bo Li Xie" which I would translate as "Cinderella" (based on what I'd learnt in the Basic Translation Course last semester). Tuesday: Cinderella. Wednesday: Amazing Race and "Jue Shi Shuang Jiao". Thursday and Friday: American Idol, though I'm not really keen on this. Over the weekends, I watch variety shows. Plenty to fill up my time. No wonder I'm so slack when it comes to work. Haiz.
BUT I must try and do some work. So off I go to read the practical manual for tomorrow, plus write my program too. It's due on Monday! Lalala...

I should say that the response has been good. Qiulin and Zhihui said the "new look" is nice too. Simple enough as well. Hee². Any more such responses can go to the comment box! I haven't got a single comment yet.
I think I really spend a lot of time online. I have no idea what I'm doing, other than the first part of an hour printing lecture notes for the next day, the rest of the time is virtually spent on reading my friends' and their friends' blogs, chatting on msn (I've switched quite successfully from an ICQ-person to a MSN-person, perhaps cos it's simple more conversation-friendly). One other thing I do, is to edit the template for my dear blog (Tada! this is the result of some of my time online). Seriously I wanted to make it even more interactive, but I have no idea how! I suppose I need to have a host site if I want to have pictures on the site. Even when I downloaded two or so templates, I have no idea how to make them work, especially this one which is way simpler, and works-for-sure in Blogger.
Can check out this site if you're interested. They have pretty nice templates, and if anyone figures out how to use it exactly, pls enlighten me! Plus adding music too! Again, I'm not simple afterall! Haha. Else a simple black background would have been more than enough.
