Many Random Thoughts...

Just came back from tuition..had such a long break while she was having her June holidays...so I was thinking, haha the best thing abt me teaching tuition is that I can do model drawing pretty well...though I really was not that familiar with that when I was back in primary 6. There were also many problem sums that I could not solve, and my parents could not help me cos they only knew how to solve it using algebra.

While walking back home, I saw cats! So I was wondering why do cats always lick themselves? So cute...

What do lizards eat, and what eats lizards? That seem too slimy a creature to be eaten..

**********

How does it feel that have the gate to ur home left fully open for two nights. There in the porch parked a car. Isn't it so inviting for burglars? That is the case in my house, seems like the gate can't be closed, else it will fall. So what should I say? Is my neighbourhood safe anot? Police, please patrol my area afew more times these nights!! Haha..

**********

Went to have dinner with Dear yesterday at Somerset, and we went to the la mian restaurant. Hmm..they changed the look, and the name, and the menu (or should I say the way they cooked the noodles). It was rather disappointing...Recently, we have been discussing the A-Z of chinese idioms, revisiting them, especially for Dear's sake. Funny how some of the four-word phrases come up too, even though they are not idioms. Heh...

**********

Had rather weird encounters when it comes to job-bing these two weeks..as I was out of job last Monday, I soon got a call on Tuesday to go down for a job interview. Well, it turned out to be a Sales and Marketing job to do with Health and Wellness products. Eh, not interested. Then I got another call today, this time even more bizarre--from a modelling agency. Haha, why do they want someone who's not the least bit photogenic? Interview's tmr. Eh, not interested, and dare not be interested. Haha. I need to work--all I'm looking for is a simple admin job really.

**********

I know I have been saying this for very long--but I still haven't done it. That's right, it's shopping!! Argh..no gains or not much of window shopping even..Let me come up with my shopping list first perhaps...

1. Levi's Jeans--I have been thinking of this for a very long time already..

2. Tops in general--actually for that 3 weeks or so that I was working, I didn't repeat any of the tops I wore! So actually I do have many tops that can last me quite long...Hah..

3. Wallet--Braun Buffel is at the back of my head right now. Vanity. Anyway jus remembered hearing this somewhere before, when you give someone a wallet as a gift, you should put a token note inside. For good luck.

4. New bags--One for school when the semester starts, and one for going gai-gai...

5. A nice handphone pouch.

6. Slippers

**********

First week of school, and my youngest brother has been on MC for the 3rd day today. What is he doing?! I never even took 3 days MC in my entire year of schooling before!! Turned out that he had a to take X-ray and it was a breastbone infection (My mum says the breastbone is the one right in between the rib cages)...I don't know how. So he had been complaining of chest pains. But when at home, he's enjoying life. Haha. Playing Maplestory and he didn't even call up his friends to ask what homework there was for him to do. What is he doing?! But guess it's ok...

**********

Too many random thoughts one night makes me confused. Currently craving for some Ruffles potato chips...

No plans tmr. Read Deception Point perhaps.

Aww...So sweet...

Yeay..new look for blog again..not so much pink anymore, unlike the last one...

Looking for fairytale land...just like how much I like that chinese song recently...

It was quite a happening past week...having gone out a few times, especially on Saturday.

Went to Aud's 21st bday party on Saturday..it was meant to be a surprise party organised by her bf...so there were groups of pple from Cedar, her jc and her bf's family. It was all so sweet the way he tried to really make it a surprise for her, even lying to her that he had guard duty that day and could not accompany her for her big day. Even her good fren, who was supposed to meet her for lunch, lied to her saying she was sick and can't go out. So there were plenty of lies told that night, inclusive of her sister who told her she was going to bring her out for dinner.

We were all pretty excited waiting for her to come--not really knowing when. We were all betting that she would probably cry when she comes in. Haha..turned out that she did not as she was more of stunned than touched. So what welcomed her at the door was party poppers, streamers, all of us, plus her bf at the very end of the crowd, with a pretty bouquet of blue roses. Aww....

Her party was actually held in this pub called "Blue Cow" somewhere in Club Street. Pretty nice place, and having the whole place to ourselves from 8-11pm, with freeflow of drinks, finger food etc. (Her bf booked those time slots for 1000 bucks!!!) The highlight of the night was actually an accoustic band performance by her bf and his frens. Not bad, I must say. Then there was this song, which was supposed to be Aud's fav fav song, she was invited on that mini stage on sing with her bf. It was such a heart-warming scene--her bf holding her by the waist, while she had her arms round his neck singing to the same tune on the mic. All of us could jus say "So sweet.." He really put in so much effort to celebrate this special day with her...oh yeah, did I mention he got her an iPod for her present as well?

So their music went on for quite some time. Hehe....Certainly one of the sweetest bfs I've seen or heard of. *envious* Oops!..think he jus done the guys a great disservice. Cos gals will start setting high and probably unattainable standards for their bfs now...

In the meantime, caught up with some of my sec sch frens, some whom I have not seen for at least 3 or 4 years. I must say, they all look prettier. Haha..But of cos, Cedarians are pretty. (BHB!) Well well...but seeing them, I do wonder, how much have they or I changed? Usually I'd think that I haven't changed much, so I feel like they are different--but mostly in physical sense like dressing. Hmm..dunno...

Anyway it was nice la...a mini gathering in that sense. Left at 11 plus, and tried to catch the last bus home. I'm not very generous when it comes to taking cabs...

Earlier in the day, I went to watch Batman Begins. Nice nice...should go watch! Highly recommended just like almost any other person who has watched it says so...

Alright..so it's another week of slacking ahead of me. At least I'm going out tmr...probably for a haircut then dinner with Dear...That's it for now....

The Love Test

When you're in love, you're an Essential Companion. Approximately 22% of people share this type with you.

If someone is looking for a genuine, down-to-earth partner who knows how to treat others with kindness, they'd best look in your direction. As an essential companion, you're one who not only respects and values the people in your life, but who makes your relationships a top priority. However, you're usually not the type to try to impress others with fancy romantic gestures. Nor are you a person who is apt to spend time worrying about your appearance in a superficial manner. If that special someone is willing to take you as you are, you will happily do the same for them. However if they're not, you'll probably keep on walking.

You're probably interested in finding a partner who will be equally committed to things like quality time and genuine communication. That way, the two of you can focus on one another without all the bells and whistles that some people consider an essential part of a good relationship. When you find an individual who feels the way you do about these things, the relationship you create will be a truly special one.

More on diving trip..

Oh yeah, memories of the diving trip. I cheated arnd quite abit--being not quite up to the standard when it comes to the dive sometimes, cos I always have some trouble with the buoyancy control. But nonetheless when I do manage to fin myself around to observe some of the marine life, it was a great experience.

So I think this was like the first or second dive of the day. There were so many of us, it was always a busy time before the dive, having to prepare the equipment, strapping on the tank, checking the tank pressure etc etc etc..

The lady holding the clipboard is taking down all our tank pressures. She was my instructor when I took the basic scuba diver course last year. Think she's pretty...and she's the one with the ring on the her belly button. WOW! The guy in black is my instructor this time round.Haha..Check out his belly! Think it's cos of the booze...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Alright, then when we reached the dive site (can't remember what's the name thou) it was time to be in full gear. So it was the wetsuit, the heavy tanks, the fins and the mask. Do you know how they prevent the face mask from fogging? Disgusting as it may seem, they spit into it--yes, that's what they do, then you use ur thumb to spread ur saliva across the lens..Note: I used "they" throughout cos I don't spit, except that once when it was a night dive and I had no other options. Other than that, I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo--New No more tears formula. Haha. Well, courtesy of the female instructor.

So that's my buddy a.k.a. my brother for the dive. Helping each other to put on the equipment. Think that tank and stuff must have weighed almost 20kg on land. I can never stand up straight with it, else I might jus fall backwards. Put on the mask, the fins, and "Plop" you go into the water. Getting ready to descend...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Hopefully got more pictures to post up soon--those of underwater. But I have to wait till I get them. When you take pictures underwater, you are not supposed to breathe. That's the key, else you see no one in the pictures, except the stream of bubbles going up to the surface. Wahaha. But it's tough, cos once you hold your breath, you would start to float. Oops...sounds so much like me.

Alright that's all for now. Next post shall be on my work and colleagues.

Hmm...feeling so free in the afternoon all of a sudden. Finished like 3 weeks of job rushing an urgent project. First time round there was seven people on the project, usually it's jus two or three..yep, so it's over and here I am back to being jobless, unemployed and not contributing to the economy. Haha. So it's back to enjoying my holidays for now...

Right now, downloading songs....

Yeay..I'm back!!..

First thing that greeted me: ANTS on my keyboard!!! Haha. I have no idea how come there are ants on the keyboard. Must have been my stupid bro who eats snacks while using the computer. Think he deserves a scolding.

Alright..I'm back from my diving trip to Dayang, Malaysia. It was so fun..I love the feeling of being in the water, looking at the corals and marine life (thou I must say, some of them really look the same to me. Oops!) But I still like it VERY much.

Of cos the beginning was really a flop, since I last dived one year ago, already forgotten most of the stuff. It was so bad, I had leg cramps while trying to remove the weight belt underwater!!! Haha. Got to surface and rest on the boat first. Then it was four dives in a day --without sufficient rest the previous night somemore. When I reached the last night dive, I was totally exhausted. I almost got myself in danger!!..cos I didn't control my buoyancy and I surfaced near a boat!! That was like...so damn close!! Haiz. When I came out of the water, I couldn't even walk properly. With that heavy tank and gear behind me, my knees gave way and I almost fell backwards while getting up a step. Fortunately, there was someone behind me who held the tank at the right time. *phew* That night, I really concussed. Was totally tired and drained.

Woke up early the next morning and went diving again. Another two. First one was a deep dive--went abt 90 feet. Then it was a rescue drill. But had chance to look around underwater too. Saw a blue spot stingray, fire coral, batfish etc etc. And my favourite part was all the fishes crowding infront of me, feeding on the bread that I held in my hand. Occasionally they will nib at my fingers a little. So cute..haha..

Seriously, the trip was great also cos I had a great instructor. He may be strict, but yet also nice. He will remind you of your mistakes, but yet not be too harsh when you make one. This is his joke: For every one mistake you make, you owe me a can of coke. The stakes increase slowly--next will be a beef steak. Haha. I owe him a few cans of coke already. Shhh...

One thing that struck me, thou..is how ironic it is that abt half of the instructors on the trip are actually smokers, and rather heavy smokers in fact. Every time they return to the boat after a dive, they will go take a puff immediately. In between, they also smoke quite often. Hmm...One more thing, they like to accessorize their bodies. Haha. I saw this male instructor who has a nipple ring!! and this female instructor who has a ring on her belly button. Well well...perhaps if they bare their bodies so often in their trunks and bikinis, it makes sense to do so...

Well well, got back on Sunday night--after being stuck at the causeway for more than 2 hours!! Super duper tired, and yet stil have to go to work the next day. I was like a zombie, can barely keep my eyes open. And I must mention--I was utterly pissed off at work on Friday. I had to call up a respondent to verify some questions with her on her survey form! She's started scolding me, and eventually hung up the phone on me!! Idiot!! So bloody angry that day, and tired actually, cos I had to pack my bag the night before. Haiz. Seriously, the work is getting frustrating! Perhaps I should just be glad that I will be out of that job in abt a weeks' time. Sianz..I don't have a life. Every day I wake up, go to work, and come home. Counting the days....

Miss my Dear...

Anyway we can go shopping already girls!! This week or next week?!..And just an idea, perhaps we can go JB to shop too..hehe..saw this shopping mall called City Square or sth. Heard it's under Singapore management actually. Suggestion hor...

Woohoo~!! Back to diving..Seriously, I think I do want to go into diving. But that's an expensive sport. So I really need to save up for it if I want to dive often. Perhaps not for now then, when I start working next time. My aim is to go to those places that I heard of from the regular divers--they have been to places like famous
Blue Coral, Palau(where they filmed the last season's Survivor), Yap in Micronesia and some other places..That's a dream, to be fulfilled.

Oh yeah, I saw a beautiful night sky on my way to Dayang on Friday night, or shld I say Saturday morning. It was really filled with stars!! A sight you can never see in Singapore. Really pretty........

Some thoughts of the week...

A relatively busy week--started work, some urgent survey project. So I work about 8-9 hours everyday, and before I know it, I'll be jobless again since the project is only to last for abt 2 weeks. I certainly do hope to work a little longer. But that's just a maybe still..if there's another (not-so-urgent) project coming up, I don't know...

An observation made during lunch time. I usually lunch with the other temp staff on the project, so there's about 6 of us. Usually, I would reserve the seats for them while they go buy their food first. BUT I realized I eat quite slowly, cos I'm often the last one to finish eating. So I think next time I should jus go buy and start eating first--speaking of some head start hor...haha...

Quite interesting working with them actually. There's this "auntie" working with the rest of us who are all in the early twenties. We talk quite abit--about many things. Haha. Today, we happen to talk abt her two kids, and she was saying how the two of them are always fighting with each other, even over the most trivial things like who gets to sit on which side of the car. But actually siblings who fight are even closer. So Auntie said this, "Your siblings are the most important family members actually; they will be around you for life. Even your parents or your spouse will only be with you for about half a lifetime." Hmm..think abt it.

Long time since I actually come online and chat (though not many pple online actually). Talking to QL, yeye. Seems like it's the time to make some decisions. Tough ones. Well well..that's how it is isn't it? Sometimes I do think, being 21 is no big deal. In fact it's just a whole lot more of responsibilities. Not something which I'm willing to take up still. I'm not prepared to receive calls from insurance companies asking me to purchase insurance cos I have no idea how those stuff works. I'm not prepared to even grow up and be part of the working group-putting on formal office wear and heels. (I'm jus happy and lucky the temp job I have now allows me to wear normal jeans and tee--what I'm most contented and comfortable with.) Many more things to list. But not exactly in the "complaining" mood today. Leave it for a day of bad mood perhaps..

Got back my results on Wed. Had to hide from the boss to use the common computer in the office to access the Internet to check. *panic panic* Haha. But at least what I saw, I was quite pleased with it--an improvement of my CAP, though it's still within the range of 2nd lower class honours. Shall see what to do with that in the semesters to come. *grinz*

Fortunately, I still have some energy left to meet Dear for dinner after OT. Just a meal, and a trip to the Book Fair. But, I'm happy enough cos I haven't seen him in a week since he started his attachment, while I started my temp job. Dear, thank you for sending me back despite you being so tired...

One last thing, I always like to end off with this note--SHOPPING!! Heh..it's the time of the Great Singapore Sale once again. I remember that I didn't buy anything during the Sale last year. This year, I think I will, I shall, I must! Just a matter of when. Gals, wanna go shopping?! Hehe..

Yep yep, feeling tired already. I now have a regular routine everyday; and seriously, waking up so early in the morning in not something I can adjust to so soon. No more, goodnight!

Some panic..

Okies..results will be out in about 12 hours time. Feel alittle scared actually. Have no idea what to expect--perhaps mostly B+s will be enough to please me (since that's the bottleneck for me already).

Good luck to all pple! (though the results are already 'sealed') especially to Dear who's feeling a little more scared than me this time round. Yep yep...

:)
