Grouchy. Grumpy.

I want to complain!! Because I have no more free day!!!

Two whole years of free day on Wednesday, now it's no more for this semester.

I now have to go back to school on Wednesday for a mere 50 minutes tutorial!!!

Please give me all the determination, discipline, and punctuality to go for that tutorial. 2 hours of travelling to and fro for mere 50 minutes (if I'm not late, that is).

Still Grouchy. Still Grumpy.

(an irrelevant comment: an ugly colour for a not-so-good mood)

Our day...

Okay, so I've been putting this off for some time. Simply too lazy to blog, and seriously time is passing way too fast. Haven't got the luxury to enjoy a slower pace of life, to enjoy some nice things in life.

Alright, so Dear and I went to celebrate our anniversary on Saturday (27 Aug). I was actually looking forward to the day, cos he refused to tell me where he had planned to bring me to. At the back of my head, I thought it was Mount Faber Park, since I asked him to go there with me before, but we never did.

In the end, it was here that he wanted to bring me to:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Actually this is some place tucked away in a little area near SAJC. Seriously the surroundings doesn't look good, but its supposed to be quite nice inside, at night. Its called Little Bali by the way. We were there earlier than intended, and the timing was just not right, so we left. Will come back here another day, perhaps on Dear's bday.

We headed for Mount Faber Park then, hopeful of catching the sunset. There it is, a beautiful sight to behold. First time there, and I like it...

We just chatted away while waiting for the sunset. As usual, Dear got hungry soon. We simply settled down at this place called Hill Bistro (or something like that) to have our dinner. The ambience is really nice, lit up by soft lights and candles. There were not many tables there, and we didn't get one of the seats with the better view :(

Even then, it was good enough for me.

Had to wait for our dinner to be served, and I even stopped hungry Dear from tucking in straightaway so that I can take a snapshot of our food. Rather expensive, really. But all in the name of our celebration of anniversary :p (we nvr had such expensive food.)

So it was steak for the gentleman, and cream chicken for the lady.

He ate a third of my chicken too, cos his steak was simply not enough to fill his stomach (which was the reason why I chose this dish actually).

Just an observation I made at the restaurant, most of the pple who dine there are actually older people who would make reservations so that they can sit at the tables overseeing the view, and would order wine. It's just like w-o-w.

After we had our dinner, we just walked around, thinking of what place to go next. We almost landed up on the cable car. (Speaking of which, I want to have cable car dinner! Next time perhaps..Haha..) It was just minutes before the last cable car left, so we decided to take a stroll down to "ground zero". But we said we would be back another day to take the cable car :p

That was just about how our day went. I was happy that day, feeling blissful. :)

Thinking of when our next such day will be...

I just have to write a little more on my Dear-- My Boyfriend is Type ???

I like the way he often tells me "I just want you to be happy" and he is able to do just that. He is much more practical than romantic, but he will still try to do little things for me. Yet, he's just still a boy really, who needs someone to take care of him. A typical guy as well, one who likes to play soccer and/or make me watch soccer with him, plus joke around and mouth some vulgarities when he's with his buddies. He's not near my "ideal guy" such that we share interests in music (or even piano), romantic dates and surprises etc etc, except that he's tall. (oops!) Yet all these doesn't matter. He's having his dreams and plans for the future, and I'm a part of it--and that touches me.

It all lies in the future... but sometimes I miss the past too...

(This post has been back-dated just that the right date would appear)

Happy Anniversary, Dear....

" I'm not supposed to love you,
I'm not supposed to care,
I'm not supposed to live my life,
wishing you were there.
I'm not supposed to wonder
where you are or what you do,
I'm sorry I just can't help myself,
I fell in love with you. "

A Quick Post...

Just spent the last few hours online, doing a pop quiz (4 times!!) and downloading this huge software for LSM..702MB in all!! My gosh..And I have to use Linux plus Mozilla in that application!! So lost with all the cursors..too used to Windows XP already...

Taking the time the post a quick one here...while I defragment my com..only 23% done...it's getting slower these days..perhaps I unknowingly downloaded alot other programmes..saved alot other web pages under favourites..since I came across some midi pages (and score sheets but need to figure out how to unzip them). Maybe I can TRY to play them on my piano someday.. Keyword: TRY

Alright..coming to end of 2nd week of sch..Hang on, everybody! Next week, the tutorials are gonna start..pls let me get out of holiday mood and start sch..Haha...Sad to say..I don't think I've ever been punctual for any lesson every since school started...I'm such a perpetual late-comer!! BAD HABIT!! (and they die hard...) Don't know how many projects are going to start..but the assignments are sure coming in. Those that I don't know how to do, to make things worse...

After blabbering on for so much, now only 56%!! How much slower can my com get?!

My aim for tmr is simple: To reach biz on time for lecture...oh yeah, and finish one assignment due at 12 midnight!! Looking at satelite images..The colours that you see, may not be what they really are, eg.vegatation may not be green, land may be red in colour blah blah... In short, that's madness!!

Goodnight!! :p

My frustration...

Over CORS!!

Have I ever mentioned how irritating, and inefficient the CORS system is in NUS?! I really wonder what's wrong with the server!! It can't handle large volume of traffic.. (by large I don't know exactly how much is that..how would I know how many other people are trying to log in on the same screwed system!)

First I can't log in..If I'm lucky enough to be able to log in, it takes damn long to load one page. And if you're on a lucky streak, and loads the page, pray hard that the most important page loads. But most likely not, then the most irritating page appears:

NUS Server is not available..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It was like that over bidding of modules. It's still like that when it's time to register for tutorials.

Am I the only one experiencing such problems with CORS...?!? What's wrong with the server?!...

Argh... "_"

Dilemma...

Faced with a situation in which I felt pretty stuck in. Do I be the good friend to take a module together, but forego my free day? Or should I just stick to my original timetable, and insist staying at home on wed? What's more, it's a physics module, which I'm not interested to take.

I felt bad, I honestly don't want to come back to school on Wed. But I saw the disappointment on her face and I heard the change in her tone. Seems like she'd have to take another module alone if I'm not going to take with her. Why has it got to be on wed? I'm already not happy with my timetable, for all the lessons seem to fall at abt the same slot..so effectively I only go to sch for abt 4 or 5 hours a day. I don't want to go back on wed again..

She got the module already. I didn't bid for it with her today. I'm still reluctant...

I just decided to give up on level 4000 module, and now this...What should I do?!

Him and Her (Part 2)

According to Kim Kirberger,

He likes her who:
  • take care of herself
  • don't need him all the time
  • has a sense of humour
  • don't try too hard
  • find him interesting
  • can have a good time without him
  • sincerely like him

She likes him who:

  • adores her
  • are strong
  • aren't afraid to say sweet things
  • don't shy away from her when they're around their buddies
  • make her feel special
  • know how to have fun with a girl (besides being physical)
  • aren't afraid to talk about 'emotional' stuff
  • call just to see how she's doing
  • generous/go out of their way
  • take care of himself
  • do little things like hold her hand softly, move her hair away from her face *blah blah blah*

Some minor things....

Oh man..I'm so forgetful..!! I left my calculator at my tuition kid's place!! Can I survive without my calculator?! Haha..perhaps so, since tutorials have not started..think I can make do with the calculator on my hp..

Hmm..still got 10 more vcds to go..37 0f 48..before I finish the series of Da Chang Jin...Think I can only watch one, or at most 2 discs a day now that sch has started..

Shld I take honours?...and go on to take a level 4000 module this sem..seriously I find my timetable a little too slack this sem..So I don't like it..I won't have the motivation to go to school like that..but then, the level 4000 module is at 8am!! That it too much for me to take..simply too lazy..Cos it would mean I have 8am lectures on 3 out of 4 days in a week!! Cannot take it la...

Still got 2 more days to decide...HOW?!

I've got a pop quiz to complete too..part 1 on bio, and part 2 on computing. If fail, need to attend remedial lessons..on a SAT!!...I don't want...

Did I mention that NUS feels so different now?! Haha..first day back at sch, I felt the pple looked so happy, young, and excited..I really felt old, being in year 3 already..looking at all those freshies who dress up so nicely for lessons..The faces I see arnd sch are totally different, and I almost seen no one that I know..other than the other stats pple, of cos.. (Oh yah, I saw JY! ) Haha..Oh man, really been in NUS for that long meh? I still have one, or two more years to go in there..

Hope I can wake up for lessons tmr!!

Tata... (",)

Post-National Day...

6 Aug
Met QL in the afternoon to go buy her blazer for her proj..I must say, she really looked smart and pro in it! Haha..as HR personnel, sure to impress her clients or sth..Maybe all biz pple look like that? I dunno..

After that went to meet Dear at Compass Point. Totally bad place to go from City Hall, since I'm reluctant to take train now that my bus concession is in use again..So kiam..Haha..So I took quite awhile to reach. So jus had dinner and went to shop around. He actually bought sth from this Feng Shui shop! Still got auspicious date and time to place the object one..The sales lady even said cannot put in the bedroom cos the yang energy of animal figures are too strong, blah blah blah..Actually I'm more concerned with my own shopping la..especially after spending so much time in that one shop while waiting for the lady tend to another customer.

Actually I probably make quite a good shopping companion. Haha..usually when I go out with people, they usually end up shopping and buying something. But I seldom bag anything home. How come ar?! But still I can be patient enough to choose things that I think are nice or what they might like..perhaps it's good also la..then I don't need to spend so much..

BUT, I had spent! On my new Levi's jeans..So happy..

7 Aug
Went to survey again. Just have to finish it up since I took up the job. Have to console myself to look on the bright side, that the project shld be ending, and I will be getting my paycheck soon..

8 Aug
First day back at sch...Actually had 2 lectures today, but in the end I only attended 1!! Cannot make it!! I just can't bring myself to wake up to go to sch for first lecture in the morning..so I just continued sleeping, at all times convincing myself that it's ok since it's most likely just going to be an intro lecture..Went for the 2nd lecture, and was falling asleep looking at all those satellite pictures. I must learn to bear with all these..it's just the beginning of the semester. Don't know what else to expect for the rest of the semester when projects (if any) and tutorials start..

Just had this very bad headache too, which made me really irritated. I can't seem to concentrate on anything, even tuition. Just went to sleep, and glad it was gone the next morning I woke up.

9 Aug
Happy 40th Birthday, Singapore!!

Oh yeah, it's national day. So I went down to East Coast Park, for the yearly picnic on this day. Crowded there, with many families, gatherings of all sorts, couples etc etc etc..just a good day out in the sun!

It seems, that the turnout for the picnic, is getting lesser, just like Chinese New Year. Amongst the children, I'm the one who still turns up. Most of the older children don't go anymore. Hmm, maybe they just find it boring and choose to go for other programmes. To me, it's like committment, like obligation, it's family time afterall (though my parents did ask me if I wanted to go last night, that means I've the option not to?)

I went cycling!! Along the stretch of road-don't know how far I actually cycled. Wanted to go as far as I could, perhaps from one end to the other. But I cycled till my butt hurt. Haha..perhaps need to put cushion on the bicycle seat..Then my stupid brother tried to change the gear, and got the bicycle chain stuck instead. Haiz. Thank goodness we were near our picnic spot already, so my dad could come and help him with it. So ma fan leh, him..

Came home, and I'm feeling really sleepy and tired already. But still making plans for the evening. Initial plans: to go watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with WL, MH. But last minute no more. Then I persuaded Dear to come out, but to Tampines to go catch some parts of the parade. It was sooo crowded. I didn't get to see the parade at all (but not that it really matters to me). The main aim is actually to watch the fireworks, and so we did. Nice nice...and watching it with him, also nice nice..Saw some army vehicles also, so many and I don't have the least idea what they are, or their purpose. The only one I can remember when I think back now it the AVLB or sth, meant for building bridges. Well well, then walked all the way back to his house for dinner. Read some comics, before heading back home..

Just have some thoughts abt National Day. First thing, I saw this book "Today in History" book the MOE gives out to the students. I also want!! Think it looks very colourful and nice le..Hmm, Dear always says that the good old national day songs that we sing to when we were back in school were the best. True enough, until now, I can still remember the tune and lyrics of those songs like "Stand up for Singapore" and "One people, one nation, one Singapore". But I don't know the lyrics to the recent pop song versions. Is it just cause I don't care to find out the lyrics or what? Hmm..and I noticed that fewer households put up the national flag in recent years. I remember seeing entired block of flats, with the flag displayed by almost all the households. Even in my estate, the flags were put up. But now, it's the opposite. Not many put it up anymore. Why? Have we become less patriotic? Perhaps that's not the best indication yeah..Still, it's a day for celebration...

And I did. Sort of.

10 Aug
Luckily I have no lesson today..feeling tired already..

Well, till the next post then...

Yet Again...

The date: today. once again, after so many times. probably as many as the no. of months we were together.

The problem: it's always the same one.

The solution: there will never be one.

Status: "We'll talk about it tmr..."

Prediction: just next week, or even tmr, the same scenario will repeat itself.

*****

I feel so tired, so upset, and so disappointed....the last thing I want, is to be taken for granted.
